The Top 3 Health Investments You Should Make for Over $250

Sometimes you just have to spoil yourself.

This was probably the hardest of the Treat Yo Self guides to write. I certainly have never lived a life where money was no object. As a result, an investment like this has been something that I can make in myself once or twice a year, if I was lucky. So I tried to pick something that I would have bought myself during the lean times to truly be an investment in my health.

doTerra's Home Essential's Kit truly has everything you need to start living a better life.

#1. doTerra's Home Essentials Enrollment Kit (~$350)

I realize that I put essential oils into my Treat Yo Self special twice, and that's for very good reason. I firmly believe that they have the potential, just like chiropractic, to benefit every person on the planet in some way or another.

I have the Home Essential Enrollment Kit listed at approximately $350 because the price can vary seasonally. It is often one of the main kits that goes on additional sales around the holidays and in special events. So why is this kit called an Enrollment Kit? Great question! You may have noticed that I am a doTerra Wellness Advocate. Have you ever wondered what that means? Basically, you are able to cut out the middle man, (me in this case), and enroll in the Wellness Advocate program yourself. Normally, that costs $35. Think of it like a Costco membership. That's what I did when I joined with doTerra in my practice. However, if you purchase a qualifying enrollment kit, your annual membership fee is waved! The best part is that you get access to wholesale prices, (25% OFF *Every single order*), and you even qualify for a greater discount on the products that you use most frequently. You will save between $75 and $100 retail price on the items you see in this kit by purchasing them all together.

Mr. Teeter and his famous As Seen on TV Inversion Table

#2. An Inversion Table ($300-$500)

The photo above shoes Roger Teeter's inversion table, the Teeter EP 970 Ltd. If you're up late at night with low back pain relating to a herniated disc, or sciatica, you may well have seen the infomercials advertising this exact brand. While as a professional, I have no brand loyalty for any of these inversion tables, Teeter has certainly taken the market by storm. His products have received FDA clearance as a durable medical device, (meaning really only that they will safely hold you upside down without dropping you on your head), and he has sold millions of units of his product.

Have you ever noticed that sometimes you have to adjust the rear-view mirror late at night vs first thing in the morning? It could actually be because you're a little taller first thing in the morning compared to at the end of a long day. The effects of gravity combined with weight-bearing activities, including just sitting, will actually slowly press the moisture out of the intervertebral discs in your back. By hanging upside down on an inversion table, even for just a few minutes a day, you can let gravity help you in reversing that compression. It can help rehydrate dry discs and help alleviate a variety of back pain and nerve issues.

If you're looking to pick one up, you can get them as inexpensively as about $100. Mr. Tetter's start at $299 but can go up to about $450 as you get fancier editions with more bells and whistles. For more information, check out Mr. Teeter's direct website, https://www.teetertv.com or check out the product on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Teeter-E64007L-EP-970-LTD/dp/B00K37891W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502832027&sr=8-1&keywords=teeter+ep+970+ltd.

#3. Take a Weekend Vacation: ($500)

I have been very careful to make sure all of the things that I presented here were tangible items that you could purchase and use more than once. However, I think for the final health investment that I recommend, it's important that I suggest taking a break from your routine! I know vacations are expensive, but that's why I'm suggesting a weekend vacation instead. In Georgia, you have the awesome capability of seeing both mountains and beaches in the same state. So why don't you save up a little money, take a weekend vacation.

Groupon often has discounts for stays at wineries and hotels in North Georgia as well as stays in resorts near Savannah, St. Simon's Island or Jekyll Island. There are some fantastic things to experience in both regions. Not to mention, by getting out of the big city, you can breathe some fresh air and enjoy nature away from the stress of our city lives. That can have an amazing impact on your overall well-being!

If money were no object, how would you treat yourself? I will add some honorable mentions from the comments that you guys leave.

There is still time left this month to schedule your first appointment. It's less than a one-tenth the cost of these splurges! First-time patients will receive their exam, physical and first adjustment all for the crazy low price of $20. Additional visits will be $40 instead of $50 for the remainder of this month! Even if you're already a patient, don't be greedy, share the gift of chiropractic with your friends. This amazing deal won't last long. In fact, it'll only last about six more days! Schedule your appointment now!

Yours in health,

Dr. William
